Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 August 2026

This policy explains what personal information Design Brains collects through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. It covers this website only.

What we collect

We collect two kinds of information.

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email address, company name, service interest, project details, timeline and budget range you enter. If you email or call us directly, we receive whatever you choose to share.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting provider records standard request data such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is used for security and to keep the site running. We also run Google Analytics, which collects usage data in aggregate - see Analytics below.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
  • We do not add you to a marketing list because you submitted an enquiry.
  • We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels on this website.

How we use your information

We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, to understand what you need, and to prepare a proposal if the project goes that far. If you become a client, we use your contact details to run the project.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used in aggregate: which pages get read, how people arrive, and which devices they are on. We use it to decide what to write and what to fix, not to identify individuals.

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser - _ga and a second cookie beginning _ga_ - which distinguish one browser from another across visits. It also records your IP address, which Google uses to derive an approximate location and then discards; we never see the address itself. Google processes this data on our behalf, and their own terms apply to it. See Google's privacy policy.

We have not enabled Google's advertising or remarketing features, so this data is not used to target ads to you elsewhere.

If you would rather not be counted, most browsers can block these cookies, and Google publishes a browser opt-out add-on. Blocking it costs you nothing on this site - nothing here depends on analytics.

Cookies and local storage

Beyond the analytics cookies above, the site sets no cookies of its own. It stores one preference in your browser's local storage - db-theme - which remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance. That value never leaves your device and is not sent to us.

[Analytics cookies require prior consent in the UK, EU and some other jurisdictions. If you expect visitors from those regions, a consent banner is needed and analytics must not load until consent is given. Confirm this with your legal review.]

Third parties

Contact form submissions are delivered through a third-party form processing service, which handles the message in transit and stores a copy so we do not lose enquiries. Our website is served by a hosting provider that processes request data as described above.

[Name your form provider and hosting provider here, and link to their privacy policies.]

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as they are commercially relevant - typically while a conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it. Client project records are kept for as long as needed to deliver and support the work, and to meet accounting obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights over your data, including the right to complain to a data protection authority.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. We limit access to enquiry data to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
